Mordisco return to Atomnation after the success of their last release 'Atlas EP' back in 2020. This time they serve up two new tracks which, unfortunately, will be their last release for a while.

Mordisco is right at the heart of contemporary electronic music in southern Spain after releases on Duro, My Favorite Robot and Paper Recordings. Although this is their last new music for a while, Mordisco will continue to throw events in Granada, Spain, and in the last have invited the likes of Jennifer Cardini and Lauer.

The tracks from Mordisco's last EP on Atomnation went on to big things. One was on included in a Netflix series, and the other was played on a balcony in Tel Aviv during the early Covid lockdown and a video of it went viral, picking up millions of plays on social media.

On the new EP, they blur the lines between house and techno. This new package kicks off with 'Kairos', it is an epic seven-minute soundscape with loopy, ever-shifting synth patterns and tumbling toms. There is a transcendental feel to the suspensory grooves that keep you afloat while the rumbling bass and crisp kicks keep the groove moving. 'Tandavi' is a dark, more gritty track but one built from many perfect loops. The drums are rooted to the floor as vibrant and progressive melodies expand into the sky. There is plenty of in-built tension and lush harmonies that bring a psychedelic edge to the hypnotic rhythms.

This is another majestic EP of well-crafted and synth-heavy sounds from Mordisco.
